Yes, this time clock will calculate Daily, Pay Cycle, and Overtime hours worked based on your work rules.
AT4500 Time cards have a number printed on the upper right hand corner. The clock tracks these numbers individually and marks punches as well as keeps track of hour totals in the corresponding columns accordingly. Each employee must be assigned a fresh card for each pay period and the numbers must be different from all other cards used at the same time. In other words: there can be no repeated number on more than one time card within the same period.
The best practice is to assign cards from the front of the stack down without deviation to avoid repeating (duplicating) cards which will cause errors.
Most likely you are still using a card from the previous pay period. Each employee must be assigned a new card for every pay period. For record keeping compliance, to have a single time card record for each specific pay period is best practice. Starting day for pay periods is determined by the pay cycle in the settings menu.
The clock will also start recording at the top any time you make a change in your pay cycle setting. Please make sure to issue a new time card if you changed your pay cycle or your reset day.
Most likely different employees have been issued the same number time card. The clock records, totals, and ‘remembers’ punch times based on the time card number (which is represented by the wholes patterned on the bottom of the card). The card number is recorded in the upper right corner. If Joe is assigned time card #3, and punches IN, then Joanne tries to use the same card number, the clock will punch Joanne OUT (instead of in) thinking it is Joe trying to punch OUT. Please review all time card numbers to make sure each employee is using a unique number during any given pay cycle.
By default the clock is set to change to a new day at 12 AM. Any punches past that time will appear on the following day; the first of which would appear as an “IN” punch. The day change time is adjustable within the setting menu. Once a punch has been made; it cannot be altered on the clock. Adjustments for missed punches can be hand written on time cards as needed.
