No – this top loading time clock does not have an on board calculation function. However, Allied Time USA offers multiple free calculator solutions through our site HERE and through a free smart phone app HERE.
Please note: by default, punches are printed on the time cards in following format (HH:MM)
(Time card visual example?)
Prior to totaling hours from the IN column and OUT column on the cards, all times must be converted to decimals (hundredths of hours.) The print format may also be adjusted with the settings to appear in decimals (HH. MM) Conversion chart for reference can be seen HERE
AT2700Time cards have a number printed on the upper right hand corner. The clock tracks these numbers individually and marks punches in the corresponding columns accordingly. Each employee must be assigned a fresh card for each pay period and the numbers must be different from all other cards used at the same time. In other words: there can be no repeated number on more than one time card within the same period.
The best practice is to assign cards from the front of the stack down without deviation to avoid repeating (duplicating) cards which will cause errors.
Most likely you are still using a card from the previous pay period. Each employee must be assigned a new card for every pay period. For record keeping compliance, to have a record for each specific pay period is best practice. Starting day for pay periods are determined by pay cycle in the settings menu
By default the clock is set to change to a new day at 12 AM. Any punches past that time will appear on the following day; the first of which would appear as an “IN” punch. The day change time is adjustable within the setting menu. Once a punch has been made; it cannot be altered on the clock. Adjustments for missed punches can be hand written on time cards as needed.
